[Super Soil Construction Case] A2 Tsunami Evacuation Road Widening Project Case
This is a case of road improvement work on City Road No. 3225 in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
We would like to introduce a construction case study of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, used in the "Tsunami Evacuation Road Widening Project." In this disaster prevention project, a narrow coastal road was widened to serve as a tsunami evacuation route, and Super Sol was adopted as backfill material for the retaining wall. The lightweight Super Sol was effective in reducing soil pressure, allowing for a thinner retaining wall. Due to the narrow and nearly vertical construction site, the material could be lifted and placed in bags, making the construction process very easy, which received positive feedback. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: Improvement work on City Road No. 3225 - Usage Category: Civil Engineering / Backfill for Structures / Retaining Wall - Client: Hitachi City - Construction Location: Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, Soil Pressure Reduction, Workability For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
